UK’s largest water dam has been instrumented with four MENHIR systems in order to permanently monitor its dynamic behavior induced by vibrations and ground motion.
While 3 MENHIR are installed at critical locations across the dam, a 4th high-dynamic range MENHIR serves as a free-field reference for quickly evaluating the dam’s response spectra. The wireless network installation avoids expensive lightning protected cabling.
